About Us:

Contemplative Outreach Pittsburgh
is a Christian spiritual network of individuals and small faith communities committed to living and teaching the contemplative dimension of the Gospel through the practice of Centering Prayer.

This website offers information about the practice of Centering Prayer, prayer groups in the greater Pittsburgh area and upcoming events and retreat opportunities of interest.

Contemplative Outreach Pittsburgh is the regional branch of Contemplative Outreach International The vision and theological principles of the international group are here. Our organization is nondenominational and all are welcome to attend our prayer groups.

Our mission is to help churches and parishes, schools and places of prayer establish a Centering Prayer Program by providing workshops on the Introduction to Centering Prayer, retreats and formation for small groups. We also train persons to teach and share the gift of Centering Prayer.

See also the website of the Contemplative Outreach Greensburg, for information on groups and events there.
